Pricing for the Now SMS/MMS Gateway is based on the system capacity for messages per minute.  This refers to the number of SMS messages that the gateway will be allowed to send in a single minute, subject to the capacity of the SMSC links defined to the gateway.  An unlimited number of messages may be processed by the gateway, however the license of the product controls the speed in which messages are delivered.  If the number of SMS messages queued for delivery exceeds the licensed system capacity, the gateway will slow the outbound delivery of SMS messages to stay within the licensed capacity.  (Note:  MMS notification messages are typically sent as 2 concatenated SMS messages.)

 

A single GSM modem can process 1 message every 6 to 12 seconds (depending on operator conditions), resulting in a theoretical maximum, independent of licensing, of 5 to 10 messages per minute per GSM modem.  If your operator and modem support SMS over GPRS, speeds up to 30 messages per second are possible with a GSM/GPRS modem connection.  Direct SMSC links (SMPP, HTTP, UCP/EMI) are capable of processing messages at far greater speeds.

 

The price list below reflects a one-time software license charge, and includes one year of free software updates.  Software updates can be extended beyond one year for a 20% annual charge after the first year.

 

Please note that Euro and US Dollar payments are only available for purchases made via bank wire transfer.  Credit card purchases (Visa/MC/Amex) will be processed at the price in pounds sterling.

Now Wireless has recently adjusted the license counts of the NowSMS/MMS gateway to accommodate customer feedback. Any orders placed before the 31st of July 2003 can be purchased from the old price list at the old license counts, and all outstanding quotations will be honoured until the expiration date
